About Us

History: In 1978, co-workers in Taiwan observed that in most regions, the Hakka people who came to faith in Christ were still a minority. This led to the initiation of the Global Hakka Gospel Conference, with representatives from thirteen regions attending. To actively connect different regions and unite in evangelizing fellow Hakka people, this association was formed. In conjunction with the CCCOWE conferences, the Global Hakka Gospel Conference has been held every five years. In the meantime, special joint gatherings were also held to strengthen fellowship and gospel ministry. In 2008, representatives from Hong Kong, Sabah, Indonesia, and Taiwan formally established a committee to operate and set up an office, with the hope of more active evangelistic actions and updating the organizational constitution to align with ministry development.

• In 2009, the 1st Global Hakka Gospel Conference was held. Location – Indonesia (Yecheng)
• In 2011, the 2nd Global Hakka Gospel Conference was held. Location – Indonesia (Pontianak)
• In 2013, the 3rd Global Hakka Gospel Conference was held. Location – Malaysia (Kuching)
• In 2015, the 4th Global Hakka Gospel Conference was held. Location – Taiwan (Hsinchu)
• In 2023, the 5th Global Hakka Gospel Conference was held. Location – Taiwan
• In 2023, the 6th Global Hakka Gospel Conference was held. Location – Malaysia (Kuching)
• In 2026, the 7th Global Hakka Gospel Conference will be held. Location – Indonesia (Medan)
